There are many great attractions awaiting visitors in Seattle, and perhaps the most famous and iconic attraction in the city is the famous Space Needle. A leftover from the Worlds Fair that took place in the city more than 40 years ago, this incredible looking building is a cross between the architecture of the Jetsons and Disney, and offers a very specific image of a future that never really happened.

The city center is one of the most pleasant in the country, and Seattle is known as being a great place in which to do business. There are a large number of high technology companies in the area, and over the last few years, Seattle has developed a reputation to rival Silicon Valley in California as a place for top businesses to make their homes. One of the main reasons why visitors travel to Seattle is in order to get out into the Rocky Mountains. The region has a number of stunning mountain resorts that offer first class skiing during the winter, while in the summer, there are numerous hiking trails through the national park, and highlights include the volcanoes such as Mount St Helens and Mount Rainier, which are both within reach of the city, and can be driven to within a day.
